Actinic keratosis is a condition which represents the early stage of skin cancer. Actinic keratosis is the most general and common sun related growth. It was proven and estimated that over 60 percent of individuals older than 40 years who are prone have at least one actinic keratosis or solar keratosis.
Actinic keratoses are generally found on the face, lips, scalp, neck, forearms, and back of the hands and also other parts of the body. Now days it is also found in teens and twenties. The main causes are due to the repeated and long-drawn-out exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
